How would a girl respond to "lets hang soon"? (family, friend)

Ran into a family friend last night who I hadn't seen in years. He's a cutie too, might I add. We exchanged numbers and I reached out to him this morning to say it was good seeing him. He responded with the same thing and added lets hang soon. I don't know if he meant it in a "friendly" way or an "I'm interested in you" kind of way. What would be a good response to this?
simply say "sure just let me know", "sounds good", or "ok"
put the ball in his court. "lets hang" is a weak/half hearted invitation. could be he's uncertain, things are complicated for him, or it's a throw away to be kind. whatever, you need him to be more forward if you want something serious, but if you want a booty call/fwb arrangement, say "i'm game, let me know when "
Let him know what you are in to and ask if he likes that.
