OK, I live with my fiance and wonder, from people in similar situations, how did you get your gifts and where did you hide them so your SO wouldn't find them?
We don't snoop. He'll tell me, "Stay out of this drawer," or, "Don't open this." I won't. Same with him. I'll stick something in my sweater drawer if it's small, but if it's large, I'll put it somewhere and tell him not to peek. He has to tell me more than vice versa because I do the laundry and am more likely to open drawers and cupboards.
Gifts for my husband, I have them shipped to my work and then carry it around in the trunk of my car until I'm ready to give it to him.
My husbands gifts to me - he will order using the credit card (I monitor our debit card purchases), he will tell me not to open the credit card bill, he will have it shipped to his moms where he will pick it up OR he will have it shipped to our home with instructions to me that I am not to pick it up (and bring into the house), touch it or even give it a long glance to see where it came from. I'm told to leave it alone. Which I do because I love surprises and don't want to spoil it. This may not work if your fiance is a snoop.
If you buy it at the store, keep in in the trunk of your car until ready.
If you buy online, I think the post office can still do "general delivery". Shipping to

General Delivery
Anytown, ST 00000
Ask at your local post office if you can still do this. If so, have it shipped there, show ID and pick it up, then hide in your car until ready. Be sure of zip code for that particular p o, if you have more than one in your town.
