I must be the odd one out. I actually like it when men hoot or cat call. It's flattering and I don't take it personally. I know we'd never date anyway, but the attention is cool.
This must not happen to you on a regular basis?! lol
Have you ever driven up and the road workers stop you...and they radio down the line that you are coming, and you get this crap all the way down the line. Or when the truck driver is staring down into your car honking his big old horn. I just hate it; it is not flattering. It makes me feel like a thing, not a person. Also, if you walk in a bar alone to meet friends, the guys are downright rude.

It depends on whom is doing it. And when it happens. If you are stepping out of church, or shoveling your driveway all sweaty and looking a hot mess. Then I would think the person is nuts.

Omg this reminds me when I was younger...and a friend of mine and I cat called these construction workers while driving...they laughed at it...and hooted and hollered back. That was some freaken fun times.

This is exactly why this type of attention bothers me. It makes me feel vulnerable and like a sex object and (while that's always not a bad thing depending on the person ) it can be very uncomfortable at times. It's not the attention that is unsettling, it's the manner in which it is delivered. I appreciate smiles, greetings, and friendly conversation, but sexual remarks and/or gestures gives me the creepy-crawlies, regardless of how the guy's level of attractiveness.

To be fair, a lot of you women instigate it. When I'm in the streets, I see women who dress up in some really sexy, head turning, outfits.
