I guess I came across this conversation with some random people out at a bar last weekend and I found it interesting, so I thought I'd ask C-D what their stance on it (obviously the males).
This group of guys that were talking were all caucasian white males, late 20's to mid 30's. They almost all agreed upon that they would not marry, date, or have anything to do with a white woman who had a previous partner who was black. They said something along the lines of her being "tainted" or that because the guy was black they racistly assumed she had a higher potential to carry an STD, not to mention all the personality flaws they assumed of her. The oddest thing was that they all were in total agreement of this, not one had any objection. I wasn't really part of the conversation so I didn't say anything. I had never really thought of it before and I don't think I'd be bothered, but who knows.
What do other guys think about women who've had a black boyfriend/partner in the past? Would you date her?
I didn't know what to say when I heard them talking about this either, but I'm curious to what other guys think, just because so many of them were in total agreement, it was ridiculous. It's pure racism, but are most guys like this when it comes to women??
Did the men have swastikas tatooed on their shaved heads?
I think I can equally say that a guy talking like that would be a deal breaker for me. Last thing I would want would be a bigotted, racist a-hole as a partner. So this would really cut both ways.
