Do you think dating a lot BEFORE a LTR prevents cheating?
What I mean by "a lot" is dating around and seeing what is out there before making a LT commitment. Not just going on lots of dates with one person.
Sometimes. Some people get it out of their system in their 20s and have no problem committing in their 30s.
But for some people, it really doesn't matter. They always crave variety, no matter what.
Nah I don't think so. Having not cheated in the past, only increases the probablity that they won't in the future, but there are no guarantees. People are never really the same over the span of a life time and things like "cheating" can be entirely dependent on the person's stage of life.
It sort of reminds me of that movie "Minority Report" with Tom Cruise... you really don't believe you're going to do something until the right situation comes along and you find yourself doing it.
I think the opposite is true. Men who get a lot of action before they get married are more likely to cheat - partly because they miss the variety and partly because they can. Since they normally date before "action", by definition, they've dated a lot.
Cheaters cheat... it does not matter if there has been a lot of dating prior to entering a committed relationship. And everyone is potentially a cheater. Now that being said it does not mean everyone cheats.
