An ex, a secret crush, a bestfriend, un-requited? Whats the longest it's taken you to get over a single person?...or are you still not really fully over them?

me...one year and counting, but definently doing better

A friend and I were just talking about this the other night. She realized that finally after 3 years she is finally over her ex boyfriend.
I think it really depends on how into the relationship you get. I know if something happened between my husband and I that it would take me a little while before I could even think about dating again.

Completely, totally, "I don't think about you" over? About five seconds for my first ex (4 year relationship), 8 years for my second (10 month relationship), 2 months for my third (13 months relationship), and 5 years for my fourth (7 year relationship).

My biggest mistake was probably getting involved with my third and fourth relationships while still sort of hung up on my second (who wasn't actually worth 10 minutes of my time).

Now I'm married and I don't know if I'd ever get over my wife.

A week or less I think. The worst was the first one. Then I figured out if they have no use for me, what's the point?

There is 1 that I dont think I will ever get over. But I think it's actually guilt. I did her wrong. She was a WONDERFUL woman. She certainly deserved better than she got from me. Even my daughters wouldnt talk to me for a few days.

truthfully, one took me almost 3 years to fully recover from.....I can say that I missed her voice the most. I was with that woman for 12 years and helped raise her 12 year old son from the day I met her......good times.

We were together for almost 6 years on and off and it took me 6 years to get over him. I still dream of him at night very often even though I haven't seen him since 10 years and the relationship was one big drama. But he was the first ... I don't think of him during the day and don't know why he is still in my dreams, and even there he is cheating on me
