So the Lord is going to keep his existence a closely guarded secret and not even give a hint that he actually exists and then blow everybody away with a grand finale at the end which will result in this massive knee bending and tongue wagging business??

Oh, come on, MG, I would hardly consider His existence a closely guarded secret considering that probably almost every atheist in America has heard of what Christians refer to as the second coming of Christ. Now whether you believe it is another story, another thread, I guess.
I have sat here and read these posts with a heavy heart. Fun and jokes? I guess when you don't believe it is considered ok to do that, but my heart aches so for you guys. When the day that Jesus comes, every knee shall bow, every tongue shall confess Jesus is who He said he is. This means everyone regardless of their belief nor lack of.
My heart is heavy with the unbelief I have witnessed in my life, knowing there are people whom I truly care about that will miss out on eternal life. It never ceases to amaze me that something so easy and made so simple has no merrit with so many. Of course, that might be the reason, I guess if salvation and belief meant going to a 12 step program, keeping a daily journal or paying 6 low monthly payments there might be more who would believe.
I like you guys, truly I do, and there is evidence, it is inside you, given freely for all who will accept. You say you are openminded? I say no, you can't even see what is inside you. I am not looking for flames here, am simply aching and saddened for you, who I consider my friends who have been unable to accept.

I'm trying so very hard to be angry with you. I want to be angry with you, but I can't and only feel sorrow for you. I want to say someone will say I told you so, but can't do that either for I don't want there to be I told you so in your future.

Now you're going to make me feel guilty. My sense of humour is just my personality and it's just how I am. I really don't mean any offence by it. The thing is, I really don't believe that Jesus will ever return, that's just my honest feeling from my heart and mind. Sometimes on this forum a certain statement or point of view may come across the wrong way, especially when it touches a nerve with someone who has deeply held beliefs about a particular topic and this is probably what you're expressing. The manner in which the OP was stated just seemed to invite a little humour, even at my own expense, but if you read alot of my posts you'll probably notice that some of them might sound like an essay for a philosophy course and others might sound like I'm working up a routine to be a stand up comedian. I just have a quirky personality and tend to see humour in life but there's no ill will intended. Ok?
