Think HIV/AIDS was god's punishment on gays?

NOPE!!!! Imaginary beings do not mete out punishment, except on the gullible.

Props to those medical pros involved. I bet that will lead to better HIV/AIDS treatment of others in the future. Let's hope.

God doesn't "punish" gays...or anyone else. Not here on earth...nor anywhere else. Not now...not ever.
There is nothing "wrong" about being gay. There is nothing "wrong" about ANY sexual activity when all involved are adults and consenting.
That's misinformation, based on secular religious dogma that comes from reading books that contain writing by evil men on a quest for power, control, and money....Biased criminal/civil laws....Or a biased, judgmental, and intolerant personal opinion outside of religious dogma.

If AIDS was God's punishment for gay people, then I have to wonder why there are so many straight people with it too. The gay community is far from the only community that has been slammed by HIV/AIDS. By that logic, the Black and Hispanic communities within the U.S. and huge chunks of the African continent are also sinful.

Some people think that AIDS is 99% preventable unlike many cancers and many birth defects.

Just as a point of interest, I noticed that on this day in 1973, the American Psychological Association removed homosexuality from its list of mental disorders. Not that long ago, really.

I really don't think many people still think AIDS is a punishment from God. At this point it's probably more common to believe it was created by the CIA, or apartheid South Africa, to kill black people.

Although I don't have the poll data on me.

At the same time, we can't deny that sodomy is high-risk behavior, and that the rate of HIV is 44 times greater in the gay/bi-sexual community than in the straight community in America.

And often the gullible ignore the wisdom of the Scriptures. That would of prevented many of those men from getting AIDS in the first place.
