14/15...I missed the Great Awakening question, what ever that was about.

There is a simple explanation for why atheists scored better than the general population and various religious denominations on this quiz. Most of us lean towards skepticism and generally investigate things pretty thoroughly before accepting it as truth.

As I was losing my faith in Catholicism I began to research other religious beliefs looking for something I could accept as true. I think many if not most atheist/agnostics have done the same thing...It took awhile, but in the end I found them all wanting, and so here I am, wanting to believe in something beyond this mortal life, and finding nothing but wishful myths, but that's ok, because in the end we will all have to face reality.

You mean born of a virgin, ol walk on water, touch me and heal my leprosy, raise me from the grave, hung and bled like a hog, resurrected Jesus? You damn right. I never truly believed that crap...not even when I was a youngster. I had so many doubts that as I was memorizing most of the new testament I was also reading the Book of Mormon...another unadulterated crock. I used to sit in the sanctuary of a 1000 member church while the pastor was preaching and look at the faces of other men around me and wonder, "Does He Really Believe That Crap?"

Yes, that Jesus. That's why you had a worthless experience. Knowing Jesus & the power of His salvation makes all the difference in the world.

Wasn't he the wizard from the ancient Hebrew myths who was killed by the townsfolk only to rise from the grave and stalk the earth in zombie form?

I remember hearing about him. But I never could figure out why he was so interested in what gay people did with their genitals.

No, He was God in human form who came to deliver us from our sins.

Oh, well that is impressive.

So why was he so interested in our genitals?
