If it is OK to thank god for events such as your brother missing his flight that ended up crashing then it is OK to thank god for the rest of the passengers making that flight that ended up crashing.
Of course, just file it away under the ignorance of saying it's "gods will". Doesn't matter who lives or dies, just the mindless mantra of "gods will". Praise be to the god of who crash's planes for giggles.
...... or he ain't in charge of nothing, and it was just random chance, just like everything else.

As usual...actual Source/Creator God, is being confused with the fictitious Evil/Malevolent Biblegod.
Evil/Malevolent Biblegod would be one with the ant farm and a magnifying glass, on a sunny day...not Source/Creator God.

And what about the standby passenger that got a seat because your brother missed the flight?
