Well I think to study them is good too, but I think it needs to be felt first. How can you study something you can't see, touch, feel, and experience for yourself?
Exactly. I think you just made my point, although I'm not sure what you meant by "can't experience for yourself". I am thinking of "Trust your feelings, Luke" from Star Wars.
Thanks fellas and fellaresses. It's great to read my obituaries.
As I said to Maia, I need to settle and think about this a bit. Read some more and at least develop a worldview which, while still regarding formal religions as man -made speculations, admits some sort of evidence for a mental link with the ineffable. Which would make me a- religionist rather than a -theist.
As I also writ to Rife just now. I'm also trying to finally get my life's work 'This Whole Jesus Thing' in publishable order since, though I am no recognised authority in the field, I truly believe that the basics of the gospel are cracked and reading the argument through will convince anyone willing to listen - even those with degrees.
And as said, it's best to take a break until posting becomes a pleasure rather than a duty.
AREQUIPA: Good to see a post from you. I will be interested to see what sort of evidence you come up with for a "mental link with the ineffable".
