OK Took me two days to find out what happened, but basically someone vandalized the sign in front of a local church
The sign read "Jesus did not discriminate against people and neither do we. Welcome Home."
Someone, probably a 13 year old or a disgruntled ex-member, went up and pasted a white board with the words "Rich {eople" over the existing sign, so that it read
"Jesus did not discriminate against Rich People and niether do we. Welcome Home>"
Kind of like saying "Give us some Money..."
Which is how the sign looked the first time I drove by.
Appearantly it was someone's attempt at humor, and this was a small Church, not even one of the hypocritical.negative ones around town, so not sure who they riled but the sign went back to the original for a week or two before coming down.
I can see where it was mildly funny and probably got a lot more people to notice it, but I don't really approve because I would not vandalize someone's property.
I have no problem being on the boards here pointing out the failures and shortcomings of Religions. Heck, Rush Limbaugh made millions pointing out politician's mistakes. And he never offers a solution, just points out a problem.
I wish I could make that kind of money bashing religions......
