Minorities can, and do, "win". If their concepts are meritorious. Sometimes it's a long hard road...but right usually prevails in the end.
Look at slavery and womens rights in the U.S...it took time, but it all got squared away.

MOF...the Rule Of The Majority is the way most western governments are currently run. Whether it be the rule of the majority of the electorate, their reps, or those appointed by their reps.
Let's deal with REALITY...Majority Rules is how things work ANYWAY. I'm just proposing to get rid of the "middlemen" and put everything directly to a full ballot of all the citizens, like in a general election.
And, no...it wouldn't be "chaos and civil war or concentration camps for everyone"...as was said by another.
That's what we almost have NOW, with the current system in the U.S.
We have a huge percentage of the population incarcerated because of laws that are on the books that were put in place by a minority that don't accurately represent the will of the people. Those "crimes" wouldn't exist if those laws had to stand up to a general ballot.
