Good Morning All,

Wanted to introduce myself after reading Dan's introductory thread. I have posted a couple of times but would like to become more active. From all the reading I have done on here, there are some brilliant minds on this board.

I too came from a very religous household as a child, Seventh Day Adventist, and left when I was 16. And I would be happy to discuss about anything and everything relating to it and why I left.

I am a very logical person and question everything. So you can imagine the difficulity I had with the bible and the teachings of the church.

Anyway, just wanted to say hi and hope to become a productive member of the board.

Ohh....I can have a very sarcastic sense of humor.....especially when I think something is stupid....

Welcome! We all love sarcasm in this forum!

But be careful! There's a silly rule that FORBIDS sarcasm in forum posts (see //www.city-data.com/forum/relig...tic-posts.html ). That's right - sarcasm is bad! M'kay? And if you do "sarcasm", then you are bad, m'kay?

So technically, not EVERYONE loves sarcasm in this forum.

Personally, I think the rule is a GREAT idea. I love it. Whoever came up with the rule must have a great sense of humor. <See - that type of comment would probably get deleted, because it's so full of humorous irony and nobody appreciates that!. (<another example.)

Anyways - welcome to the forum, and have fun.

Well then,

I shall attempt to maintain a proper sense of decorum...as I would not wish to offend anyone by arching my pinkie while drinking tea....directly from the saucer......
