Well folks, in exactly 48 hours I shall be standing in the airport, awaiting a dear, sweet man coming off a plane who (hopefully) can quote Elizabeth Barret Browning! (I tend to doubt that, actually, but June loves poetry...)

Thank you all for your well wishes and words of encouragement. I spoke with Montana just a bit ago; he seems amazingly calm. (???) Tomorrow night will be the big test: reality has actually begun to set in that after all this time, we are actually just 2 days away from meeting one another in person. But the underlying sentiment in June right now is:

We shall keep you updated. Weather, thanks for sitting vigil with me in the counting realm! Blue, your post actually "inspired" me to go back and read the Book of Solomon. (The Song of Songs?) To which I can only say two things: thank god it was short, (only four chapters?) and.... Now that's poetry! (Of a sort...!)

Updates will be forthcoming.

Thank you everyone for all your kind well wishes! We love you guys!

Taking gentle care,
-June and The Memorizer

P.S. "Touch down" is 11:00 PM Boston

Well, I think in all fairness June should have to recite a poem to MG, herself. I didn't write this (I'm not clever enough) but this is from Arcadia Flynn. I didn't copy the whole thing because it gets vulgar towards the end. But, I think June and MG will get a kick out of this Sorry MG!

Only You!

You turn me on, you handsome hunk
With your sunken, hairless chest
In your skinny white arms
I feel safe from all harm
Oh yes, yes, yes, yes, yes!

Your beard is long and full of crumbs
From all the fast food there you've dropped
And with your big sloppy kiss,
I know the meaning of bliss
Oh stop, stop, stop, stop, stop!

I laugh as you smile me your toothless grin
Your face is a gift from above
And as your one glass eye
Tries to wink, I just sigh
I'm in love, love, love, love, love!

I've always wanted a man with a hairy back
And yours goes right to your bum
And your fat in its folds
Gives me more of you to hold
Oh yum, yum, yum, yum, yum!

My senses you tease with your burps and your farts
I've never smelt this way before
And because you don't shower
It lasts for hours and hours
Oh more, more, more, more, more!

Ok, since I am a Michaelangelo fan (don't ask me why, I have NO IDEA, but I have ALWAYS admired his poetry as well as his art )

LOVE'S JUSTIFICATION

by: Michelangelo Buonarroti (1475-1564)

YES! hope may with my strong desire keep pace,
And I be undeluded, unbetrayed:
For if of our affections none find grace
In sight of Heaven, then wherefore hath God made
The world which we inhabit? Better plea
Love cannot have, than that in loving thee
Glory to that eternal peace is paid,
Who such divinity to thee imparts
As hallows and makes pure all gentle hearts.
His hope is treacherous only whose love dies
With beauty, which is varying every hour;
But, in chaste hearts uninfluenced by the power
Of outward change, there blooms a deathless flower,
That breathes on earth the air of paradise.

CELESTIAL LOVE

by: Michelangelo Buonarroti (1475-1564)

NO mortal thing enthralled these longing eyes
When perfect peace in thy fair face I found;
But far within, where all is holy ground,
My soul felt Love, her comrade of the skies:
For she was born with God in Paradise;
Nor all the shows of beauty shed around
This fair false world her wings to earth have bound:
Unto the Love of Loves aloft she flies.
Nay, things that suffer death, quench not the fire
Of deathless spirits; nor eternity
Serves sordid Time, that withers all things rare.
Not love but lawless impulse is desire:
That slays the soul; our love makes still more fair
Our friends on earth, fairer in death on high.

Poetry gives me a headache. Too much thinking.
Except maybe for dirty limericks.

Anywayz, if you ever get too stressed remember the Frankie goes to Hollywood song: Relax.
And enjoy the ride.

T-minus 48! and counting.

Hey, that's pretty witty you guys. Yes, tomorrow is D day. I'm actually not all that stressed out today. It's going to be alot cooler in New England than in the Arizona desert. It's still in the 90's and yesterday was 100. I'm bringing a sweater. Also, I don't think my memorization project is going to get a passing grade. I think an F would be appropriate because at the moment I can just barely remember the author. I guess I could stay after class if I have to.

I second everything Blue has said!

I wish you both all the best on this awesome journey! You will be in my thoughts.

If at all possible, if the two of you can manage to set 5 minutes aside , maybe you could send us a little update during your stay!?

You both must be SOOOOOOOO EXCITED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Default 26 hours and counting!!!!!

I almost feel as though I am in too much of a surreal state to even write anything. Montana and I just got off the phone. Neither of us could fully fathom the fact that we were saying "Well, I'll see you tomorrow!" --As in, the next time I hear the man's voice will be in person, as opposed to over the phone. We're like two giddy kids saying: "Wow! It's tomorrow, huh!"

I shall check in here prior to leaving for the airport tomorrow evening. I honestly don't know what more to say, other than:

Wow! He's really coming here and we're going to meet!

--For which June wishes to thank all of you. Let's face it, but for the fact that this forum is what it is, tomorrow night's grand meeting would not be taking place. For all of your friendship and support, we thank you.

Count down to launch.....!!!!!
