This board is a gathering place for many different faiths, views, religions, opinions and convictions. As we debate, I’m sure many of us sometimes are frustrated when our points seem to be outrightly ignored, skewed, mistranslated or taken out of context. We answer a question only to answer the same one again, and again... Sooo… here is a (hopefully fun) experiment to see how much we really have learned about each other’s views!
I'll try to keep the rules loose:
Anyone can ask a question pertaining to your own religion, worldview, faith or theory.. (spin-offs such as questions relating to evolution or creation etc can be also discussed). For example “As a Catholic, why do I believe we need to go through priests” or “As an evolutionist, why do I take issue with the argument “ape gives birth to man.” Etc.
Anyone from a different or opposing view tries to answer the question correctly, how they think you would answer it…
Anyone can grade the answer (e.g. on a scale of 1-10) Of course, the people that hold the view will be able to give the most accurate grades.
Multiple people can answer the same question, or grade an answer, explaining why it gets that grade. A question can be posted any time, but it might be a good idea to see if there are a lot of unanswered questions before posting yours.
Hopefully this will clear up a lot of misunderstandings.. and cause us to study and really listen and learn about each other's views.... and maybe if a really good answer is given, it will be a chance for opposing views to exchange some reps!
So as not to get too stuffy... funny or sarcastic answers are allowed. Just don’t expect a good grade!
OK, first question…
As a Bible-believing Christian, why do I seemingly disregard laws in the Old Testament such as not eating shellfish, wearing garments of different cloth, etc?

Matthew 5:17 ¶ Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.
The law, being fulfilled, is no longer an outward law but inward. We don't need to memorize the rituals, just follow the Holy Spirit.
Why do Catholics 'pray' to Mary? (See...I even left it contraversial for fun.)
Does it have anything to do with this verse?
Romans 8:27 And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God.
Because of intercession.... Mary interceding between you and God?
