I was reading the 'arificial insemination' thread and the thought came to mind.
During a sex dream there is lust for someone that you know or don't know. The difference is that the whole thing takes place in your unconscious mind while you are asleep. Your conscious mind, like a light bulb, has been turned off. Does this matter as far as a sin is concerned?
Sex is immoral only when one of the following applies; #1, one of the participants is, for whatever factor, jeopardizing the health of another, #2, one of the participants is underage, #3, one of the participants is not being forthright and is being deceptive in the motive and/or circumstances prompting the sex act.
Unlike theft, assault, lying, etc., there is nothing inherently immoral about two consenting adults enjoying sexual intimacy. If one or both of the participants is in a committed relationship with someone other than the sex partner, that does not make that specific sex act immoral. What would be immoral is the dishonesty towards the committed partner being victimized.
In other words; dream away. And if you want to make it a reality, you can do that too, that is, if you're lucky enough to have an opened mind, and also find the agreeable partner.

Yes. You should beat yourself forty lashes with a belt upon awakening. Say three Hail Mary's, two Our Father's, do the Electric Slide and snap you fingers twice while you twirl around in a circle. That should cleanse your soul.
If your had a true perspective about how many people actually think like this, it would keep you awake at night.
Especially if you think about it, and realize that these people vote, raise children, and are eligible to run for any office in the country. Scared now

I'm going to hell for not proofreading my own post and fixing the errors.
What's the deal with all this concern about random things being sins? While sin is real, it is NOT the focus of the Christian walk.
Seriously, how do you plan on controlling your dreams? A better thing to consider is what type of information you are allowing inside your mind, soul, and spirit.
Sin, as Paul Tillich and MLK jr pointed out, is separation. Does not everyone have risque dreams? Yes. It's not a sin. What then, is a sin? Acting weird about it. Guilt is actually what separates, that an addiction. Not simple actions themselves.
