I hope it doesn't turn out like the Deliverance movie (1972). But that was shot in West Virginia. LOL.

No, it wasn't filmed in WV.

Most of the location filming was done in Georgia, although some was also done in the Carolinas.

Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, known as the Patriarchs, are both the physical and spiritual ancestors of Judaism. They founded the religion now known as Judaism, and their descendants are the Jewish people. Of course, technically, it is incorrect to refer to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob as Jews, because the terms "Jew" and "Judaism" were not used generally to refer to this nation until hundreds of years after their time; nevertheless, for convenience and in accordance with common practice, I will use these terms.
It might be technically incorrect to call Abraham 'Jewish', but it is accurate (insofar that Abraham founded Judaism and his descendants are the Jewish people).

And Noah was a Hebrew -- I'll agree that he wasn't Jewish, but examine this link for an explanation of how the terms are inter-related:

Quote:
The word “Hebrew,” on the other hand, is used to refer to a descendant of Abraham or an Israelite
So, again, it is technically incorrect to refer to Abraham and Noah as Jewish, but only insofar as it's equally 'technically incorrect' to refer to Simon, Peter and Andrew as Christians (because the earliest followers of Christ actually comprised an apocalyptic Jewish sect, and the earliest recorded use of the term 'Christian' appeared in Acts 11:26, around 80-90 AD).

Lexington would be the best city to stay in, but the hardest to fly into. Louisville has more flight options than Lexington, but is a longer drive, and perhaps not quite as pretty. Cincinnati may have the best flights, and the shortest drive.

If it really happens, I'd love to meet y'all, but won't be going to the Ark. I wouldn't waste a day there even if it were free.

Way to show you're open-minded.

Christian donated to a for-profit theme park? Couldn't think of a better way to share that money?

This is a good point. Tens of millions of dollars could have gone a long way--particularly in that region--towards feeding and otherwise helping the needy.

I'm sure Yahweh is happier having this gaudy, nonsensical display rather than assistance to the less fortunate.

I see the Ark Park as nothing more than an outrageously expensive monument to Fundamentalist ignorance.

That snorting sound is the rest of the world laughing.
