The Bible doesn't state that as being the case, so why say it?
...because Edgar, assuming the story is true for the sake of the point being made, if all organisms/lifeforms had not been aboard then we wouldn't have had them, past, present and future would we.

Quote:
And of every living thing of all flesh, you shall bring two of every kind into the ark, to keep them alive with you; they shall be male and female. 20“Of the birds after their kind, and of the animals after their kind, of every creeping thing of the ground after its kind, two of every kind will come to you to keep them alive.
-- Genesis 6 (New American Standard Version)
Quote:
You are to bring into the ark two of all living creatures, male and female, to keep them alive with you. 20Two of every kind of bird, of every kind of animal and of every kind of creature that moves along the ground will come to you to be kept alive.
-- Genesis 6 (New International Version)
Quote:
Of every living thing of all flesh, you shall bring two of every sort into the ship, to keep them alive with you. They shall be male and female. 20Of the birds after their kind, of the livestock after their kind, of every creeping thing of the ground after its kind, two of every sort shall come to you, to keep them alive.
-- Genesis 6 (World English Version)
And, as Rafius points out, God wiped the Earth of every living thing, so if it wasn't on the Ark...well...b'bye!
Whilst containing every organism/lifeform that has ever existed, past, present and future.

But the historic account doesn't say "EVERY organism/lifeforem that has ever existed, past, present and future" was on the ark Noah built.
The fish and whales were not on the ark or plankton etc. And only the animals that God brought to the ark are the ones Noah chose to put on that ark. So you see, the historic account doesn't say "every organism/lifeform that has ever existed" went on the ark. I'm sure there were quite a lot of animals that went extinct.
But the nice thing about Ken Ham's Ark Encounter is to see the enormous size of the original ark Noah built and see how easy it was to store all the food and animals.
