And that, as they say, is that. I do very much like the neat brush -off of Gldnrule's clumsy effort to do the Philosopher's chop-logic card - shuffle to prove that black is white. And the feeble attempt (whoever's it was) to play the 'look on the positive side' card.

I am having a bit a of a mental blank recalling the last time Theism had anything good to say about atheism or Creationists had anything good to say about Evolution other than Ben Stein who said that "It is (or was) a brilliant theory" before proceeding to attach horns, tail and bright red leotard with swastikas, a hammer and sickle, a white flag of surrender in one hand and a dirty nuclear bomb in the other, and stomp it underfoot. But he did start off with something nice.

Any takers?.
Now I'd pay good money to see that!

  • Pray that terminal velocity does not harm them.
  • Have a fail safe safety net when they land.
Their choice.

Kids are brought up obviously being told and understand that these are cartoons and not real at all. Kids go to this ark and you know there's some parent out there reassuring the kids that all this is true. That's what's going to screw a kid up.

What do you think is going to happen if a kid grows up and defiantly tells everyone that Noah's ark was real? He's not going to get much honest credit or confidence instilled upon him by others. It stunts your integrity.

Or would you prefer to admit that making this assertion nominates you for needing a window in your belly so that you can see where you are going?

More typical dumbstuff challenges...as if that "proves" something.
You just don't "get it".
You can not even state with absolute infallibility that you, me , Euse, Jeff, Vizio, the Empire State Building, gravity, or anything you know of is even actually real, and not just a simulation.
This Universe and everything you believe you are aware of about it may not even actually exist.
And, I must say...I personally believe it is real. MOF, I can even say I am sure of it. But that still does not make it infallibly so.
You need to get hip to that.
Your "test" proves nothing as to "infallibility". It would be like saying cuz a crew of ISIS guys would kill you for directly challenging their beliefs...that means their Religious concepts are infallible truth.

Contrary to what most hucksters believe, BS doesn't always baffle brains.

But I realize you've made a living off mouth-breathers who'll believe anything if the booze is affordable and the chicks flash their money-makers.

But newflash Mama's boy, your customers ain't everybody. Or even representative of the norm.

They're just the poor saps who buy what you're selling. Just like the poor saps buying whatever their preacher is selling on Sunday.

What you sell is just as unreal as the what the bible's offering.

Which shows how you run your mouth while knowing very little of what you are spewing.
I don't have a liquor license...I don't sell alcoholic beverages.
The show is what the show is...just like any other show of any other kind of entertainment.
Those that are into it come to see it. It is as "real" as any other show. Ya wanna see women dance naked?...that's what we present. There is nothing "unreal" about it.
Of course...the print and video stuff are staged senarios. But everyone knows that is what they are watching with that.
And when you say that my customers ain't everybody, or even represent the norm. That is you showing further ignorance. Porn is the most consumed elective product there is. People who buy what I sell is as "everybody" as it gets.
Including YOU I bet.
One thing you are right about. I was a "Mama's Boy". She was the best thing in my life...and I miss her so badly I can hardly stand it. Your thinking you were insulting me by calling me that is just more proof of how ignorant you are.

It does, you just can't see what.

Oh, I 'get' much more than you think.

Well, there *are* times when I wonder if the number of aliases posting accurately reflects the number of 'real' people participating.

But, a 'simulation'? Stretches credulity...a bit less than the ark idea, but still a ridiculous notion. No evidence for, and plenty against...just like the ark and the 'flood'.

Another ridiculous notion, it doesn't mean anything of the sort. And trying to float an analogy as poorly constructed as that fails as badly as trying to float that 'ark', it's nonsensical. Is that the best you can do?

Personally, I think Ham should be prosecuted for fraud...along with everyone else filling their piggy-banks with the promotion of religion.

You will sooner or later come to see that responding to Gldrule involves you in a frustrating and tough argument (since he is smart enough - no doubt of that) but all about things that don't matter and are just a lot of attempts to score cheap and irrelevant points and try to engineer a "Win" for himself, just on points. Mostly, I just ignore him now.

What does it matter, really? So long as he leads a decent life and is proud of his country and Flag (the one with the white background and red cross) and loves his kids and his wife (the right way round of course ) what does it matter if he believes that a snake with legs really peddled a Disneyporn Snow -white a poisoned apple?
