There it is. Show us exactly what you have that convinces you Jesus was a real person. It cannot be from the Bible because those writings are not considered historical evidence by non-biased Biblical scholars.
Go on. Show us something extra-Biblical that proves Jesus existed--ANYTHING, artifacts, a grave, a monument, an ossuary containing his bones, a relief, just anything-- and then let us examine it and if it is convincing I know that I will change my belief and say that he truly was the Son of God.
The Bible. 66 books all attesting to him. All about him. Not that you'll suddenly believe it and repent. Proof is irrelevant if you're not willing to consider it.

I'm no longer a Christian and I don't "believe in Jesus" as God or as my "savior", just for the record.
But I'm wondering why the bible (and I'm assuming you are including any non-canonical books about Jesus?) would be something you wouldn't consider as proof of the existence of a 'real person'. I mean, I get not accepting that it is all accurate and unembellished -- that, in my mind, is a given. My question would be, where did these writings spring from if not from the existence of an actual historical figure?

There's very little material about Jesus in the Old Testament. Some highly symbolic language in Genesis, Isaiah, and other books has been interpreted by Christians to be about Jesus. But the Jews aren't buying it.

The entire OT is about him. The coming Messiah. Jews recognize there is a Messiah to come..they just aren't willing to recognize it was Jesus.

You're using the "non-YouTube" as a red herring, jones. EVERYBODY, including Jesus-loving theists are on YouTube.
There's no evidence outside the extremely biased Bible that shows Jesus existed, but there's tons of evidence to show he didn't exist:
Here's just a few of the proofs Jesus never existed:
Quote:
- There is no first century secular evidence that he existed
- All sources are either Christian or Jewish
- The earliest New Testament writings are vague on details of his life
- they become more fleshed out in later texts
- The eyewitness accounts in the four canonical gospels (Matthew, Mark, Luke and John) are all second hand
- The gospels make contradictions about his life
- Modern scholars who claim to have uncovered the 'real Jesus' contradict each other
