The connection is that I got the sense some scifi/fantasy actually is religious allegory.
There's a passage about "entertaining angels unaware."
So, suppose Jesus came to your house. He looked like a washed out but originally very hot woman (the thing about the disciples not recognizing Jesus, and also whenever you helped the least of these you did it to Jesus). Would you bother with the effort of nursing this woman back to health so you could date her? Or would you be like "it's a trick, cuz it's Jesus, I'm not doing that."
On a very basic level, this question is about the encounter with any type of supernatural being, good/evil/neutral, and how living things deal with this.
