All churches? That's one isolated incident that happened. Not all churches ...Hmmm sounds like a David Koresh situation..
Pretty soon people will need to go through metal detectors and body searches at church. It's easier to pray at home maybe?

Or you can just not go to mega churches which are more of a buisness than a religious service.

Let me touch you on the head, have you fall down, and claim your demons are expelled.... mmmmmhm

Not to mention megachurch pastors are the ones that drive 6 figure cars, own mansions, and essentially use their followers for money similar to the catholic church pre-Luther.

I have always wanted to do that.
Well, act as if a demon was inside me, but, never break.
That way the priest gets all pissed off and his hand doesn't work. Ha.

And then you could sue him for hitting you several times in the head! It's a win-win situation!

I'm in!

hahahah! That's a good one!

-x-

but, all seriousness, and back on topic. Guards for a .. church? That's a bit insane. Americans don't want armed persons on the street. Why would they want one in a church, or a place that is known for as a sanctuary and "healing" place for Christians?

The whole idea seems odd to me. That priest is a little shook up because of a shooting in his church maybe.
but I like the laying on of hands bit...Robin Williams does/did a great imitation of it..

Well im sure that the priest is better protected now, heck under those long robes he probably hides a Rambo starter pack complete with a couple of AK's, 50 live grenades and an RPG

He probably rides in an armored bentley with automated defense systems, electric shocking handles, run flats, etc....

There is nothing new about armed guards at religious services.

Some of the earliest church services in America were conducted by the Conquistadors, and armed guards were always present.
