Uh-huh. Makes no nevermind to me. Apparently the first collection of pamphlets which became known as the bible were written in Greek.

The OT is not "words FROM God," but varied perceptions ABOUT God and our relationship.
Jesus gave us a whole new perception and James had it right:
God does not tempt us, we and our conditions make them.
Well, said. Our Father has given you this insight. xo

It's silly. Everyone knows what it means.

But if you read the article, I kind of agree with him. He's not suggesting Jesus didn't know what he was saying. He's saying we have understood it wrongly. His rationale is the translation is not great--because God does not lead us into temptation. He would be in agreement with James, the brother of our Lord, who says that God does not tempt us.
The whole prayer is about the Book of Job, where God does lead Job into temptation (through/with Satan) and Job prevails by not caring enough to hate God through it and then fighting back at God when God reveals the Gambling game he and Satan had.

I wonder if God knew what Job would do, or if Job was free to do the opposite.

The OT is literally filled with literal "words FROM God" as well as varied perceptions ABOUT God and the Jewish and Gentile relationship with "Sentient and Personable Ultimate Creator."

James is merely contradicting Job. That is fine, the Bibliolatry of the religion is false anyway even if full of double speak and hypocrisy or not.

So you are OK with a text saying something in English that it does not say in the original Greek.

Except it does not. Perhaps if you learn some Greek instead of inventing things.

See above.

It is the exact opposite, making the text say something other than what the original actually says.

No, if they misrepresent what is in the bible, it must be true.
