It is indeed a wonderful, and awesome, and painful, and rewarding, and painful, and shocking, and mysterious, and painful universe of which we are a part.

NOT "apart."

A part.

What's important is how we deal with it.

Well, after that first cup of coffee...when that first moment of enthusiasm is experienced...I do think
the Universe is pretty great.
It's just that it's downhill from there.
I'm kidding...it's always great.

I should like to see that talk.

And the universe is indeed awesome. And complex, but evidently not made for us. We are a bacerium existing in a biosmear on a rock in a desert. But we are a bacterium than can know about what it going on, not on;y on the rock, but in the desert. More, we know something about the geological forces that formed the desert. We are pretty awesome, too.

without the desert we don't exist.
without counciness the desert isn't experienced;
it doesn't exist.

the universe is making something.
we don't get to know,
the fact that some of us can see it
means everything.
