My 7 year old grandson crying himself to sleep because of Christian scare tactics. (paradise, behavior)

silly concepts like I'm not worthy or deserving of something...and my subconscious
and conscious mind knows the power of prayer or talking to my Higher Self or God or the Powers That Be or decreeing, commanding that something is going to happen, period...also I have zero doubt. Very imp.
Whether you call it the force of will power or gifts from Heaven, the Holy Spirit ...I don't care.
I ask or think of something or imagine something happening ...and it does...call it Law of Attraction...I don't care.....we as humans have the power to make things happen in our environment especially.
And a religious person can be mad at this...but ya don't even have to believe in God.
Look at what Trump has done with his career and $$ and love life (anything he wants apparently!)..it's determination and will and believing you can do it...'It WILL happen'...not giving up on your dream or mission or desire...looking forward as if it is going to happen...positivity.
Do you think he sits and prays for things? I do not.
Rather picture Superman holding Lois Lane screaming , (((("NO!!!)))...and he got the job done.
Yes.
I just took a break from this board to watch the Oscars, fabulous, and I enjoyed your post. As usual.
As we wander off into the esoterical and minutea, we ignore the orginial issue, that a 7 year old boy is so terrorized by being castigated for not believing in Yahweh (as opposed to any of the other 3,999 gods that were out there), and crying himself to sleep because he has heard the horrible myths of burning in hell.
But that's not important to the religious. They would rather babble about how talking to themselves and listening to the voices in their heads somehow makes them better people.
Hmmmm….so if it's up to us humans, what's the point of praying?
However, if it is going 'swimmingly well' and I don't know what you're praying for, I'd guess it is safe to say that it's can't be for REALLY BIG things like starving and abused children?
Oh wait! Damn...never mind...I suppose there's no point in that since that kind of thing is up to humans!
Hey, but maybe you could try that since prayer obviously works so well for you??

Telling the religious to stop being themselves is not going to work.

I hope you can spare some thought and sympathy for the little 'hell'ions who told your grandson that because they are being brought up to believe that.
It's not a puzzle at all. I am asking you direct questions. Apparently, you choose to not answer them. I understand why. Deep down, you do as well. Basically, you are admitting that you KNOW the things you claim to be true are a bunch of hogwash. You WISH that they were true, but that doesn't magically make them true. You'd rather pretend to believe them anyway.
Peace is Not successful because man's long history proves man can't direct his step - Jeremiah 10:23
That is why God will have Jesus, as Prince of Peace, to step in - Rev. 19:14-16; Isaiah 11:3-4.
We want to keep awake! as Jesus said because as 1st Thess. 5:2-3 informs us the time is coming when the 'powers that be' will be saying, "Peace and Security...." but that will only prove to be the precursor to the coming great tribulation of Rev. 7:14 before Jesus who is the one who will usher in global Peace on Earth among persons of goodwill.

This is a very long thread, but I think I've addressed that several times.
It's highly likely your grandson has a generalized anxiety issue, and so, he has kind of latched on to the concept of hell as a manifestation that anxiety.
I would suggest you go in the direction of getting him help in coping with anxiety, or it's very likely to spread to other things and incapacitate him.
Going in the direction of violating everyone else's fundamental rights isn't really the best solution, or workable, or fair.
