so much chit chat and not one reason to believe a guy died, rose, and went where ever for our sins.

the four gospels remind me of the transformer move series that people take as, well, gospel.

Then again, he wouldn't know the story of Judas, since he said he wasn't with them before Jesus died.

....

Jesus = "Joshua" meaning "God saves" or "the saving God" "God is salvation."

Judas Iscariot (either Sicarri terrorist or "man from Kerioth" a city that Amos promises will be destroyed)= "praised" but given the "Ju" at the start, it would be as if "praised" was spelled as "Godified" so ultimate meaning of "GLORIFIED."

other Judas/Jude (son of James)
Thaddaeus = "breast/chest/heart/bosom/brave/courageous/friend/ or if Theodoros in Aramaic then "God's gold/gift" which would make it like matthew, so that is unlikely. Most likely BRAVEHEART.
Lebbaeus = "heart/my heart"

Matthew = "mattayah" meaning "giving God" of "gift of God" or "God is giving/gifting" "GODGIFT"
Levi = "join/attach/interbreed" the tax collector identified as Matthew for unknown reasons

other Matthew/Matthias replaced Judas by a random lottery of people (or John Baptist followers) that were with Jesus since the Baptism with John the Baptist to the Crucifixion.

John son of Zebedee (brother of one James, both turned to "sons of Thunder")= "Johan" "Juan" meaning God is gracious/courteous/kind/polite/respectful/respectable "GODGRACE"

James son of Zebedee (brother of John, both turned to "sons of Thunder")= Jaime, Jacob (from Greek "Jacomus" version of Jacobus") means "Right on their heel" by the Hebrew pharase "grabbing the heel" which implies "about to overtake first place," "next in line" "runner-up" "OVERTAKER"

other James (=Jacomus/Jacob), the lesser/minor/younger and the son of Alphaeus.

Simon (brother of Andrew) = Simon is "LISTEN" in Hebrew. "flat-nosed" in Greek.
Spoiler
in Hebrew "flat-nosed" was "Charum" and disqualified a member of the priestly caste from being allowed to be a priest.

Peter = "STONE/rock/boulder" in Greek.
Cephas = "ROCK" in Aramaic.

other Simon (the Canaanite, the Zealot [very religious, very faction-loving, very motivated by loyalty])

Thomas = Aramic for twin, exact copy, (of whom?)
Didymus = Greek for twin, exact copy (of whom?)

Phillip = from philippos "horselover" meaning "NOBLE" as in Knight, Horseman, or even our modern "COWBOY" similar to "Hippocrates" which meant "Power/Strength of/with Horses".

Andrew biological brother of Simon/Peter, "Andreus" meaning "MANLY" "brave", "strong", "courageous", and "warrior".

Nathaniel = "El has given" GODGIFT same as Jonathan which is "Yah-gift/given" same as Matthew "giving-Yah" from Natan/Mattan which is "gift or giving"
Bartholomew = "son of Tholomew" which is "son of Talmaius" which is "son of Ptolemy" which is "son of Polemus" or "son of war" therefore WARSON.

...
Saul = "ask/question/inquire/research/investigate"
Paul = "small/humble/meek/patient/long-suffering"

Luke = Greek name, not yet linked to Hebrew. "loukas." it meant "of the meadow/pasture/grassland/field"

I am sticking with a distribution system.

Hollywood makes the movie then copies are sent out to all the theaters to watch.

They didn't have movies back then. stories were written and they they were copied to be sent out to the many towns for the people to listen to. Mathew, mark, Luke, and john where just the copies that survived.

toss in the notion of 'whisper down the lane" ... poof.

Can you imaging if all technology were lost. people a million years in the future found a dvd of the transformers and played it?

Have you got any evidence that the Transformer movies are being taken as "Gospel?"

What did Paul mean by "the twelve"? (Support your answer.)

Good question. What did Paul mean by "the twelve"? It can not be the disciples, because according to the gospels and Acts, there were only 11 disciples between Judas killing himself and Jesus going to heaven.

1 Corinthians 15 New International Version (NIV)

3 For what I received I passed on to you as of first importance: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, 4 that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures, 5 and that he appeared to Cephas, and then to the Twelve. 6 After that, he appeared to more than five hundred of the brothers and sisters at the same time, most of whom are still living, though some have fallen asleep. 7 Then he appeared to James, then to all the apostles, 8 and last of all he appeared to me also, as to one abnormally born.

Why, it is like Paul did not know anything about Jesus as described in the gospels.

If there were no gospels written, then what would they have been? The 12 tribes? I'm just wondering.
