You said a mouthful there. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for the coming generation. The last one seems to have let us all down. Roll on the next Pew survey.

Why not? Because it wouldn't matter anyway. No ones mind would be changed. People, most especially on City Data Forums, are more interested in the fight and "winning" than anything else. They'd rather stick to their guns at all costs, even when definitively proven wrong and they know it. This benefits no one.

And Christians aren't called by God to convert anyone. We're called to tell people the good news that their sins can be forgiven and that salvation can had through Jesus, restoring a right relationship with God. The results, however, are between the unbeliever and God. Not me.

If any person chooses to not believe and reject God and His offer of forgiveness and salvation, that's their right to do so. God doesn't force Himself on anyone so neither do I. If people want to live their lives without God, He lets them. In this life and the next one. As much as people want to live their lives without consequences, that's just plain old deception. Every choice has consequences. And just as we're responsible for our own choices, in turn we're responsible for the consequences of them, too.

I wish everyone the very best. God bless.

As the Christians would force their religion on everyone, if secular humanism was not pushing them back. It has a long way to go in the US, and there looks to have been some ground lost over the last year. But less than half a century ago, we had the Christian right looking to run our lives and tell us what we could or could not look at, do or think. Now they are dead and gone.

It happened here, it can happen in the US.
