Certainly, just bowling up and posting in a wad of scripture is not going impress a bunch of unbelievers who have very good reasons not to credit the Bible is any substantial way. Certainly not from Daniel, purportedly written during the Exile, but demonstrably just before the Maccabean war (reversed 'prophecy') nor from Paul, who doesn't seem to understand the OT passages he uses, or doesn't care, so long as he can use them.
I had in mind a 'people who are not my people' (Romans) which Paul interprets as the Gentiles, to whom (Paul says) God has turned to instruct the Jews in how to be faithful to God (by Faith -rather oddly, in Jesus). But in Isaiah 65, these people look rather more like Jews who have fallen away from observing the Law eating pigs and sacrificing incense on altars, like the gentiles. So Paul - if he used the passage correctly -ought to be talking of Jews showing the Gentiles how to strictly obey the mosaic laws. Not that the gentiles would care, as they had their own gods.

That violates the cross posting rule in the Terms Of Service. Posts full of Bible quotes often seem more appropriate for the Christianity forum, so we'll leave that one open. Frankly, it appears to be copied from elsewhere.. If anybody recognizes the source, please let us know.
