Thank you. Yes, he is. It's all he can do. painted, effectively, into an inescapable corner. One either cherry -picks and says that Jesus 'changed' all bits they don't like in the OT (which leaves us arguing about the immorality in the NT) or bites the Bullet and swallows all the OT, Good, Bad and appalling using the 'God can do what he likes' argument. If those 6,000 need a reason to walk away from Church, that's a start.
And your belief helps explain why so many christian churches supported actual slavery.
Does it tell you why Christians were the ones that opposed it? That because of Christianity slavery was eventually outlawed? Or are you too biased for that?

Some christians opposed, but not much in the South Are you too biased for that? And as far outlawing it -- it took a war of christians fighting christians to accomplish that -- still the biggest blood bath in American history. Thanks for owning it.

You're right. Many Christians did support it. And many opposed it. But to suggest that Christianity supports the idea of slavery is simply ignorant.
He didn't say Christianity supports slavery. He said it supported slavery. Past tense.
And that would be factually wrong. At least not the slavery of 1800's America.
