Through Jesus Christ, that Christians got the Holy Spirit who is the true spirit of God and who does lead them into Heaven ....... Through Jesus and His sacrifice the devil is a defeated foe, but still can be a menace in life on earth .... Mostly all other religion never got the Spirit of God leading each of the followers.
So according to you even if you are a good Muslim all your life you will not go to Heaven but a pedophile who converts while in jail and accepts Jesus Christ as his savior will enter the kingdom of God. Yeah that makes alot of sense.
What difference does it make if it's a parable anyway. I understand the teaching behind it, do good for good to come to you or if you suffer here you'll get a better life in the next life etc. Whatever it is, if not this example Jesus clearly taught that hell is a real place where we will be tortured for all eternity.

That's the thing too I come from an islamic background and I was taught Christians will be going to hell just for their beliefs. So they could do everything right in this life, adopt a thousand children they'll still be going to hell just because they believe Jesus is the son of God. Same applies to Christians and the teachings of the bible on unbelievers
No, I'm sorry, but he did. At least he did if he is the creator of all mankind. Or is there some other god over in the next county that created other people?
But let's go back to the Bible. And assume, at least for the time being, that the Bible is a history book...which a number of our posters repeatedly claim...either in their posts, or in their profile where they say that they have a "biblical world view" (or something similar).
And let's take the Jews in Egypt. God created the Jews. God also created the Egyptians. So god's problem was that he had to free the Jews. So, in order for a famous Jew to later make a great blockbuster movie about the dilemma, god got very dramatic. He turned water into blood; great opportunities for later cinematography. He sent the frogs (bet that made some of the Egyptians croak). He gave them lice and flies (not easy for Cecil without CGI). Livestock pestilence. Boils. Hail (can you imagine the insurance claims!). Locusts (he should have already realized that insects weren't going to do the trick). Darkness. And then the grand climax -- he killed all the first born...including faultless babies. As a footnote, most of those punishments affected the Jews, as well. Oops. But finally, Pharaoh gives in and let's the Jews go. But even though god is all-seeing and all-knowing, he can't figure out that Pharaoh will change his mind and give chase. So, in order to make an already good film better, Moses has to part the sea. A cinematic triumph.
And then, his beloved Jews -- his chosen people*, having escaped, got lost and wandered the desert for 40 years. After all those plagues and parting the Red Sea, God couldn't give them a map?
Now of course, god could have been a lot less dramatic and simply put the Egyptian power brokers and military men into comas for about ten days while the Egyptians escaped. But that wouldn't be such a good movie plot.
And getting back to this business about killing babies...if killing babies is moral, then it's just as moral to kill christian babies. And that is NOT true...for any group. It's NOT moral. Not ever. Never.
If you're going to tell me that "bible stores" aren't really true...well, that's a problem. That's not the way they're presented in any church I've ever been to. They are literally referred to as, "The Word Of God". Or does god lie?
There are countless people in this word -- including his own chosen people (why would he choose certain people as his favorites if he created all people?) -- who have suffered greatly...and for what -- no, god has failed billions of people. No failure of mankind can compare.

And that's the problem in christianity -- at least with many modern day christians -- they want to explain away what they don't like by saying it's a parable, while claiming other parts are the word of god, and that the bible is a history book, etc. They want it whatever way they want it, with no consistency of thought and validity.

And this is just a small problem with Christianity in general. The bigger issue is the problem of evil and suffering. I have never seen a good argument on why it exists.
The simple answer is there is no God that exists that intervenes in this world.
Without specifying what kind of interventions you expect it is far from simple - magic Genie, Santa Claus, medical miracles, etc.
