It simply states the obvious. We ARE all part of nature and depend on it. We depend on it, it doesn't give a rats behind about us, nor does it depend on us. We may wound it be our activities, but after we are gone as a species, it will rebound.

Practicing gratitude is a completely underrated endeavor.
To lose the connection to our myriad blessings is something of a tragedy, but I guess it's all in how you look at this life we are given.
I think that is a real valid point.

You know my view on praying, if God is all knowing surely he already knows what you will be praying about.

There was (or is) a thread on wishing one had never been born. (I can think of two or three) and a recent post of mine ('Chat' I think) expressed a great appreciation of the life I was given to live. Not all good. Not by any means. But a lot of it was and still is and I hope i last a good bit longer to see some of the stuff that is being found out.

That's as near a prayer of thanks as you'll get from this dude.

And if you aren't grateful, She will know that any prayers are hypocritical. What then (as Christians ask) will they say when they are up before her?

"You ungrateful wretch! After all I did for you! Slaving over a hot universe, working my fingers to the bone, 2 billion year day in, 2 billion year day out, the universes I could have had...."

They'll never get a word in.
