Slavery was accepted as punishment for crimes and for paying off a debt which is still done in the USA today. Our govt forces young men to sign up for the draft services, if the draft came back, those young men would be forced to join, thats called being a slave to the govt. Prisoners are slaves according to 13th Amendment sec. 1.
Slavery is always around us today. Its not just the black folk working for the white man getting brutally beaten. Thats the wrong kind of Slavery, take a look and you will see how slavery is everywhere but not actually wrong within itself like the colonial slavery was. Huge difference there.
If you read the new testament, you will see for yourself how it work on making society better.
Always remember, atheists have killed far more people than less than 100 years ago, Stalin and other soviets and Mao the China man killed tens of millions of innocent lives based on their atheist mentality for decades, far more worse than even Hitler. Atheism has no moral backbone, anything is allowed if wanted.
Let's begin by having a look at what the Bible actually has to say about slavery.
Exodus 21
20] “Anyone who beats their male or female slave with a rod must be punished if the slave dies as a direct result,
21] but they are not to be punished if the slave recovers after a day or two, since the slave is their property.
Leviticus 25:
45] You may also buy from among the strangers who sojourn with you and their clans that are with you, who have been born in your land, and they may be your property.
46] You may bequeath them to your sons after you to inherit as a possession
forever. You may make slaves of them, but over your brothers the people of Israel you shall not rule, one over another ruthlessly.
Male Israelite slaves became free after six years of service. This was not true of female Israelite slaves or non Israelite slaves however, who, as well as their offspring, were in bondage perpetually as property.
So, slavery is not only permitted in the Bible, the institution of slavery is systematized in the Bible.
The modern world has taken a more moral position than Christianity on the subject of slavery however.

On December 10, 1948, the United Nations General Assembly adopted the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, which declared freedom from slavery is an internationally recognized human right. Article 4 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights states:

Samuel 1 15:

The Bible not only permits genocide, it commands that genocide be done. Including hacking children and infants to death with the edge of swords.

If someone rapes you and every one of your family members then murders them, they are sent to prison and sometimes compelled to work hard labor for the rest of their life as punishment for that crime. The Bible explicitly states that we are to judge according to their "works" if they are good or bad. A good tree does not bring forth bad fruit and a bad tree does not bring forth good fruit. Matt. 7:18

By what standard? A subjective standard? What if next week all the world joins me and you are left out and all condemns your position, will you change to their standard? Yes or no?
