Slavery is always around us today. Its not just the black folk working for the white man getting brutally beaten. Thats the wrong kind of Slavery, take a look and you will see how slavery is everywhere but not actually wrong within itself like the colonial slavery was. Huge difference there.

If you read the new testament, you will see for yourself how it work on making society better.

Always remember, atheists have killed far more people than less than 100 years ago, Stalin and other soviets and Mao the China man killed tens of millions of innocent lives based on their atheist mentality for decades, far more worse than even Hitler. Atheism has no moral backbone, anything is allowed if wanted.

Let's begin by having a look at what the Bible actually has to say about slavery.

Exodus 21
20] “Anyone who beats their male or female slave with a rod must be punished if the slave dies as a direct result,
21] but they are not to be punished if the slave recovers after a day or two, since the slave is their property.

Leviticus 25:
45] You may also buy from among the strangers who sojourn with you and their clans that are with you, who have been born in your land, and they may be your property.

46] You may bequeath them to your sons after you to inherit as a possession
forever. You may make slaves of them, but over your brothers the people of Israel you shall not rule, one over another ruthlessly.

Male Israelite slaves became free after six years of service. This was not true of female Israelite slaves or non Israelite slaves however, who, as well as their offspring, were in bondage perpetually as property.

So, slavery is not only permitted in the Bible, the institution of slavery is systematized in the Bible.

The modern world has taken a more moral position than Christianity on the subject of slavery however.

Wikipedia
Slavery
Worldwide
On December 10, 1948, the United Nations General Assembly adopted the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, which declared freedom from slavery is an internationally recognized human right. Article 4 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights states:

"No one shall be held in slavery or servitude; slavery and the slave trade shall be prohibited in all their forms."
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Slavery

What else does Christianity have to offer us in the way of "superior moral standards?"

Numbers 31

[15] And Moses said unto them, Have ye saved all the women alive?
[16] Behold, these caused the children of Israel, through the counsel of Balaam, to commit trespass against the LORD in the matter of Peor, and there was a plague among the congregation of the LORD.
[17] Now therefore kill every male among the little ones, and kill every woman that hath known man by lying with him.
[18] But all the women children, that have not known a man by lying with him, keep alive for yourselves.

Joshua 6

[20] So the people shouted when the priests blew with the trumpets: and it came to pass, when the people heard the sound of the trumpet, and the people shouted with a great shout, that the wall fell down flat, so that the people went up into the city, every man straight before him, and they took the city.
[21] And they utterly destroyed all that was in the city, both man and woman, young and old, and ox, and sheep, and ass, with the edge of the sword.

Joshua 11:

19 Except for the Hivites living in Gibeon, not one city made a treaty of peace with the Israelites, who took them all in battle. 20 For it was the Lord himself who hardened their hearts to wage war against Israel, so that he might destroy them totally, exterminating them without mercy, as the Lord had commanded Moses.

Ezekiel 9

[4] And the LORD said unto him, Go through the midst of the city, through the midst of Jerusalem, and set a mark upon the foreheads of the men that sigh and that cry for all the abominations that be done in the midst thereof.
[5] And to the others he said in mine hearing, Go ye after him through the city, and smite: let not your eye spare, neither have ye pity:
[6] Slay utterly old and young, both maids, and little children, and women: but come not near any man upon whom is the mark; and begin at my sanctuary. Then they began at the ancient men which were before the house.
[7] And he said unto them, Defile the house, and fill the courts with the slain: go ye forth. And they went forth, and slew in the city.

Samuel 1 15:

[2] Thus saith the LORD of hosts, I remember that which Amalek did to Israel, how he laid wait for him in the way, when he came up from Egypt.
[3] Now go and smite Amalek, and utterly destroy all that they have, and spare them not;but slay both man and woman, infant and suckling, ox and sheep, camel and ass.

The Bible not only permits genocide, it commands that genocide be done. Including hacking children and infants to death with the edge of swords.

The modern world has taken a more moral position than Christianity on the subject of genocide as well.

Wikipedia
Genocide
International law
After the Holocaust, which had been perpetrated by Nazi Germany prior to and during World War II, Lemkin successfully campaigned for the universal acceptance of international laws defining and forbidding genocides. In 1946, the first session of the United Nations General Assembly adopted a resolution that affirmed genocide was a crime under international law and enumerated examples of such events (but did not provide a full legal definition of the crime). In 1948, the UN General Assembly adopted the Convention on the Prevention and Punishment of the Crime of Genocide (CPPCG) which defined the crime of genocide for the first time.[26]

Genocide is a denial of the right of existence of entire human groups, as homicide is the denial of the right to live of individual human beings; such denial of the right of existence shocks the conscience of mankind, results in great losses to humanity in the form of cultural and other contributions represented by these human groups, and is contrary to moral law and the spirit and aims of the United Nations. Many instances of such crimes of genocide have occurred when racial, religious, political and other groups have been destroyed, entirely or in part.

— UN Resolution 96(1), 11 December 1946
The CPPCG was adopted by the UN General Assembly on 9 December 1948[5] and came into effect on 12 January 1951 (Resolution 260).
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Genocide

Both slavery and genocide have been banned by international law in modern times.

Because humanity can and has come to a far superior standard of "morality" than the hideous ancient standard of morality that you are attempting to peddle.

Those are either false Christians to begin with or unfaithful Christians as I have stated so many times before, you have no argument here, just the observation of disobedience. If they OBEY none of that happens. End of story.

Yes. My good friend runs a recovery home in Texas and people get their lives right by learning and obeying Christian law. I help out time to time with them. Much good has been produced from Bible teaching. Come to east texas and I will show you first hand just how it stops these problems.

Once again you declare yourself the winner.

And by the way -- I don't think you get to decide who the real christians. If there is a god...that's his job.

You don't win arguments by misquoting people. That's dishonest and I would consider it a sin.

The Bible explicitly states that we are to judge according to their "works" if they are good or bad. A good tree does not bring forth bad fruit and a bad tree does not bring forth good fruit. Matt. 7:18

1 John 4:1. Believe not every spirit but test the spirits to see if they are from God because many false prophets have gone out into the world.

1 Thessalonians 5:21 Prove all things, hold fast that which is good.

Christians are COMMANDED to judge ourselves as well as other by actions. I can give you more verses if you like. God judges the final judgment, sure, yet you either don't read the Bible or don't care if you make the false statement you just made concerning this.

Is it ok to punish a criminal who does those things with hard labor or not? Don't avoid the direct question, it is relevant.

Then you won't mind if we all judge you.

By what standard? A subjective standard? What if next week all the world joins me and you are left out and all condemns your position, will you change to their standard? Yes or no?
