As long as a person is qualified to teach, has a clean record with the prior schools and good reccommendations I don't care what their personal beliefs or non beliefs are..Christian, Muslim ,Jewish, Atheist, gay, straight etc..so long as they do not teach their belief in the classroom.. I sent my children to school to learn the three r's and advancements of those basics to prepare them to be productive, responsible citizens in their lives.. My Christian beliefs were taught to them at home and that included teaching them to be respectful of other peoples beliefs or non belief..

Religious beliefs, or lack thereof, do not belong in the public schools, unless part of a broad cultural study of world religions and their differing beliefs (i.e. Christianity vs. Judaism vs. Hinduism vs. Islam etc).

let me honour the particular eclecticism of the question initially asked by the op, as i understand it...

YouTube - Les enfants oubliés

... outlandish as it may (or would!) seem...

A public school is not about personal beliefs.... it is all about PC teachings... they have no right to bring personal belief into the class room.... as a teacher I understand how much they would put their job at risk by doing so.... SO, I would have no problems with it.... I know there is no way they could put their beliefs on my child in any way w/o risking their job. I see them as equally as a person of another faith actually... and I would let them teach my child.... as long as they were a good teacher and stuck to the textbook I have no problem with it...

Instilling faith or not is the duty of the parents, not the teacher.

Actually, there are more liberal/atheist teachers/professors who are indoctrinating students at various levels than right wing religionists, which is a shame unto itself.

children are indoctrinated every day...by parents, by schools, by any adult.

Getting them to obey rules and say the pledge--that's indoctrination. Convincing them to love others, or their country--that's indoctrination. Convincing them to work hard, not lie, not harm others--that's indoctrination.

Want to raise unindoctrinated children, go right ahead. But don't be surprised if they kill you first.
