Out of sheer boredom I tried to calculate how long the hair of Jesus would be today if he hadn't cut it for 2,000 years and it grew about a half an inch a month. The result is a thousand feet if I added it up correctly. Never a dull moment on City Data.

I wonder if a barber would charge extra for that haircut.
what is correct hair length. i suppose we could make remarks about his clothes too i mean he was a homeless person sleeping in the park, no job no property.
where did you wana go with this? do you bring up these topics when you get together with friends or just here?

"Correct hair length" is irrelevant, its about the physiology of a resurrected body, and how close it is or isn't to a normal human body. Hair and skin, digestion, circulation, etc.
1Cor.11
14Doth not even nature itself teach you, that, if a man have long hair, it is a shame unto him?
15But if a woman have long hair, it is a glory to her: for her hair is given her for a covering.
16But if any man seem to be contentious, we have no such custom, neither the churches of God.

That would require, you'll pardon my saying so, one hell of a haircut!
My question was a serious one. If Jesus was resurrected with a human body, the one that died days before, is it really a "human" body? A human body has hair that grows; digestion, circulation, secretions, breathing, perspiration, etc. If Jesus had a human body, was it just something in the appearance of a human body yet not really a human body? How much physiological functioning can Jesus not have and yet still be said to have a human body?
He ascended into Heaven and sits at the Right hand of the Father. Make of that what you will.
It's remarkable, when one discusses it, what serious questions arise out of this.
1) If the body of Jesus was transformed, why did it still have holes in?
2) If Jesus had long hair, why did Paul describe it as shame to men? And if Jesus didn't have long hair...well, the Shroud and mandylion, not to mention all the icons and holy pictures are so much fraud.
1) This is a puzzler, but the holes were before the Ascension. They also served a purpose of showing who he was to Thomas.
2) I don't know if it's entirely clear what Paul meant by long or short hair. Perhaps shoulder-length hair was not deemed long. Also some things Paul said may have been to avoid unnecessary trouble with Greeks.

I have never understood this...what in nature says that males should not have long hair?! And don't forget that you women are supposed to never ever ever put a pair of scissors to your hair! It is a SIN! Coming from a pentecostal church this is a sore subject with me. People use these silly verses and a way of controlling people.
