Will I get reunited with a former close friend of mine in Heaven? Also will I get to continue on with my friendship with this person while we're both in Heaven? We're both believers of God and Jesus Christ.
Rather than me resent this woman for wanting to take her life into another direction I just cherish the wonderful memories I've had with this woman and I am happy with how well things are going for her and I sometimes wonder if I'll get reunited with this woman in Heaven?
Apparently, all memories of this life are wiped out in this mythical place called heaven. I mean, suppose you were in a lifelong, loving relationship with someone and you have a happy bunch of kids. Then you all get killed at the same time and the 'all loving' creator decides that you can go to heaven but you partner and kids have to go to hell. Are you going to be deliriously happy in heaven knowing that your loved ones are being tortured for eternity in hell?

I also believe that God will wipe all tears away from us while we're all in the Kingdom of Heaven and we will not be worrying about those who aren't in Heaven
In heaven, all souls are friends/family and can interact with each other.
That's what I've always believed about Heaven, my mother has told me that when I enter the Kingdom of Heaven my grandmother would greet me in open arms

Wouldn't that be great?....Too bad it's only wishful thinking. I agree that you will be in the same place as loved ones after death, but sorry to dash your dreams....That place is non existence.

Umm I'm hesitant to ask but did she commit suicide? (I just ask because you seem to refer to her death as "taking her life in another direction")
You'll get the atheist answer aplenty here so you might have been better putting this in the Christian section as you seem to want a Christian or at least theist perspective. As I understand it's often indicated most earthly bonds will no longer be relevant and all will be your friends or family. That said as a Catholic we do have intercession of saints which seems to imply connection to individuals can still be relevant. (Marriage however is not. The Bible and tradition is pretty clear that marriage ends at death. One may still love their spouse in life, but the bond of marriage is over)
So I would say provided your friend does not die in a state of grave and irredeemable evil you will be reunited with them. However the communion and meeting with everyone might be just as important to you at that point.

Except of course, you will have memories of all your sins. Theists are "glass half empty" folk IMO.
