This thread was a blast from the past!
I love it when new members join just to resurrect dead threads and add links to weird stuff that may or may not be advertising. It makes life so much more odd. Especially when the links apparently don't work? It must be to something on one of these pages, though I'm not sure which one:

Some of them are pretty whacky, but I like the Jewish Pomegranate one, interesting iconography:
Always makes me think of how it is associated in Mesopotamian and Israelite poetry with sexuality, in addition to it's association with the land being fruitful, with it's ANE usage as an aphrodisiac. I wonder if Jesusboat.com is aware of this old symbolism heh heh:
A garden locked is my sister bride,
A pool locked, a fountain sealed.
Your groove a pomegranate grove
With fruits delectable.....
(Song of Songs 4:12-13b, AB Pope)
I guess it's not a big surprise they use it, though - it is kind of a "national fruit", in a way. Torah scrolls typically are supported by two pommels, usually artistically fashioned, and called "pomegranates".
For anyone whose wife is "eyeing" another man, may the instructions to this Akkadian incantation help you out, though you still have to get the incantation (which I will provide, for a small fee!):
If a woman looks desirously upon a(nother) man's penis:
You recite the incantation three times either (to) an apple or to a pomegranate.
You give (the fruit) to the woman and have her suck the juices.
That woman will come to you. You can make love to her.
(R. D. Biggs, Ancient Mesopotamian Love Potency Incantations, 1967, p. 70)
Or you can just look it up yourself for free.....
