Luke gives the line of Mary. She was the daughter of Heli. He's called the "son of Heli" as a sort of figure of speech here.

And lastly, if satan knows he's going to lose this battle with God in the end times why doesn't he just say he was sorry and that he'll stop tempting us to do bad things? Just wondering.
Hummmmmm, I don't suppose you have read "Letters from Earth" by the greatest of all the Prophets, Mark Twain. Of course, Twain never claimed his writings were divinely inspired, he always was a modest sort. Part of his apocrypha is the treatis "Roughing It" an interesting history of a particular time in American History, from a somewhat unique perspective.
Nothing more complicated than both of the genealogies start -
1. Jesus
2. Joseph
Neither one starts
1. Jesus
2. Mary
Mary is not mentioned anywhere in the list. According to the Torah, the mother determines if someone is Jewish but tribal affiliation and family genealogy can only be traced through the person's father in accordance with Exodus 28:4, 29:9-30, 30:30, and 40:15 [Priesthood Lineage]; Numbers 36 [Tribal Lineage]; Genesis 49:10, I Kings 11:4, and I Chronicles 17:11-19 [Kingship Lineage].).
.........and if that's not good enough for you read Luke 3 and Matthew 1. Both writers state that their genealogies follow Joseph.

We think of the End with everybody happy; but I believe that you are thinking of the end with a greater majority happy. In these pro-carious times God should accommodate such a majority for happiness, i.e. make things democratic even in Iran. But from the Bible, and some such places, all have to be Happy.
Therefore, satan is the explanation for elections. Therefore, satan is a relative misunderstanding of the common Good. But wouldn't it be fine if the common Good lacked the judgment of faith in Happiness by western values like advertising and undecidedness of one's real competitor?
The enemy is not in us, he is not a refusal of friendly business, nor is he a cut-throat; but He is the teacher for witless ambition.
So there: some are never happy for their bad attitude to agreement of major satisfied community goals.

I think you give satan too much honor. He is God's creation and acts according to the role that God gave him. He is not an opponent of God, he is His servant doing the dirty job.

Satan no longer exists and neither does Lucifer. We are living in a world that still holds onto those two and what they taught. Eventually, this world will know peace but not until we all realize that the rebellion has been over for quite some time. Quit blaming evil on Satan or this devil guy. It's people who have become evil. No one is forcing them to be evil, they just have no love or have not been taught how to love.
Why don't you go out and love all those evil people instead of trying to tell others what to believe in or that everyone's a sinner. Turn the evil into goodness by being Love to everyone. If you love God and Jeus, aren't you supposed to help the down trodden and the fallen ones?

The fact is the Bible is Myth, written by superstitious people, and in the 21st Century we can and should be doing better. I again mention what Rev 1111 said. If people were out loving, accepting and nurturing others, instead of petty arguments over contradicitons in some stupid book, what a great and peaceful place this planet would be..

I'll play devil's advocate.
1. The anti-christ will be jewish, perform many miracles, and unite the world in a New World Order, everyone will love him and there will be peace, then he'll turn nasty and tyrannical for some reason and start branding people. Nothing is said about his birth or childhood. It is assumed he will be possessed.
2. Satan sows confusion, he's only interested in ****ing with people's minds. All those other religions and gods are his work. All those contradictions and errors in the bible are his work. Skeptics are his work.
3. Satan may lose the war, but he wins many battles. He knows Gawd wouldn't forgive him, Gawd requires blood sacrifices to appease His all loving wrath and hatred, and you have to be human to be forgiven, Satan was an angel, and Gawd sees them as non-beings unworthy of love or forgiveness. Besides, Satan sees himself as better than Gawd and wouldn't sink so low as to bow down to Him, so Satan does what he can to win the battles. Tempt and turn as many as he can against Gawd.
