My reason for asking this is because there are many things, History related, that can be backed up and are clearly irrefutable. However, the whole God thing seems to hinge on the Bible which, IMO, is not a credible source. So I am just curious to see if there is anything, besides the Bible, that can "prove" his existence.
**I am on the fence when it comes to religion and am hoping to find some credible, logical answers here**
I think your title is wrong? You mean prove without quotting the bible?
I don't want anyone to prove that "In the Beginning Man Created God." I want people to disprove it...reaffirming the traditional thought that "In the beginning, God created Man."
You cant disprove something that hasnt even been proven. It is impossible. It needs to be proven first. The burden of proof is on the people who make the claim, non believers dont have any burden to prove or disporve.

The bible is not a credible source but it is to the Christians who literally believe it. You are right there are lots of sources to look at. There are lots of archeological sources to look at. I have been watching this show on the history network called "The Naked Archeologist" and no he isn't naked....lol But its really interesting.
He recently did shows on Masada, Joshua, The Temple mount, and the Dead sea scrolls.

Thanks for your response. This show seems to be in the direction of what I am looking for...something more concrete than the Bible to prove, or attempt to prove, that the goings-on in the Bible are somewhat reputable.
I would suspect that Thomas Jefferson had it right in the preamble "We hold these truths to be self-evident...."
To me the quote “We hold these truths to be self-evident,” indicates, again to me, that what follows in the remainder of that particular sentence is not opinion but fact that is directly observable.
Is it a fact or has it been directly observed that "...God created Man?"
A book you might find interesting is, "Mere Christianity" by C.S. Lewis. It is one of the most powerful books I've ever read.
