I grew up as a Jehovah's Witness, and I pretty much believed everything they said throughout my teenage years, and I wanted to believe. Then one day when I was preaching door-to-door (ironically), one person said this to me...
"You are absolutely convinced that you have the right religion. But everyone else in the world is equally convinced that they have the right religion. Some Muslims are so convinced that they're willing to give up their lives in the name of their religion."
I didn't stop believing that day, but it did get me starting to question the certainty of my beliefs. Eventually, after a life-long accumulation of evidence on both sides of the issue, I now believe that the chances of God's existence is pretty low (at least God as worshipped by Christians).
Stretch, I may have seen that guy at the church down the road Sunday night. It was a warm night and the doors were wide open and I couldn't help hearing all the praising and dancing going on. There was one fella there so caught up in the spirit all I could understand was "Amen , thank you Jesus for stretch" Just having some fun with you
