That wasn't an Earthquake, that was just a good Beer Fart.

I'm from Western NY and we would get them from time to time. Mostly, they were up in Ontario Canada and we would feel them in Buffalo.
I read that Nevada is the 2nd most seismically active state. Woo hoo

But it's the HAYWARD FAULT that is predicted to burst soon.

Yes, I recently read about differences in the faults.
What did you hear as "soon"?

I lived in the Bay area, on top the Hayward Fault, for 6 years.. the two biggest quakes I felt were at Lake Tahoe.

"Soon" is between 1 day and 100 years.

I actually felt the big Loma Prieta earthquake in ‘89 here!

There are only a few earthquakes I’ve felt definitively over the years here. We had a magnitude 4 in Carson City last year and although the medicine cabinets were banging and I grabbed onto the wall upstairs, when I ran downstairs to check on everyone after, they didn’t even notice it!

It’s the noise that you notice for most of them and they were watching a movie.

I do not believe there has ever been a human fatality due to earthquake in Nevada despite the seismic activity. Not to downplay the potential. We do have strict building codes here, including for bridges and other infrastructure.
