This is not something the police are legally able to do without a search warrant. However, if you feel uncomfortable about going to the premises you can ask the police to have an officer accompany you if you feel there is likely to be any antagonism.

Well, i think that might just make it worse for me, if she gets arrested for possession doesn't that terminate the lease, thus my place to live also?

How is she going to be arrested for possession if the police are accompanying you just to get your stuff out of the place? Concentrate on getting your things out of there, find somewhere else to live and then consider whether or not you want to take her to small claims court. Surely you don't want to stay there given the circumstances?

Was just thinking of the possiblities, dont want to stay, but would be nice to have a little time to find another place to live.

On a good note, i guess, an officer did arrive yesterday, after i went and checked that the locks were actually changed, and told her to change them back, and that neither her nor the police can forcibly remove anyone from any residence without a court ordered eviction. So i guess i'll get my months worth of rent, since she had changed the locks back. Its a good thing the local police showed up, because when i called the county sherriff's office they said there was nothing they can do since im not on the actual lease. He said specifically that she can kick me out on a moments notice because i had no legal right to be there.

One idiot that doesn't know the law or has a personal bias and doesn't care about the law.
