My neighbors below me got evicted about 5 months ago. They were truly nightmare neighbors but they did not get evicted because of that it was because of non payment. The community had to move the furniture out cause the tenants just left them there. I saw the court eviction notice on the door. So the apartment sat empty for 5 months and recently I got new neighbors. These new neighbors I feel like they are the old. They have the same odd behaviors being so loud and go in and out in the middle of the night slamming doors and being so loud. Is it possible it could be the same people and they moved back in? I have not seen them in person and I did not think it was possible if you get evicted but their living pattern and behaviors is the same and it is so odd.
The management here does nothing at one time for other neighbor issues I was complaining 2 times a week and so was my other neighbor and they still did nothing. I am moving in 2 months when my lease is up but I was just wondering about this eviction issue.
Thank you

Hard to believe any LL would re-rent to previously evicted tenants; but who knows?

Without seeing the 'new' residents, you're just guessing. Could be it's just another group of people who make their own rules and consider themselves the only ones living in the building.

As one person told me, "Renting is like camping out."; sadly that is far too true in many instances.

Thank goodness you have just a couple months left in your current unit. However, there are no guarantees that your next neighbors won't be just as bad or worse; hopefully this will not happen.

Thanks. That is what I felt that they would not let someone back who they evicted. It is just so odd the same behaviors and odd hours plus being so loud during that time.
I am not going to rent another apartment I am going to try to find a home rental cause the neighbor issue is just too common.

I agree that renting a house will be a huge improvement; no more common walls for one thing!

When scouting out a rental drive around the neighborhood as late as night as you can, and on weekends, to get a feel for the environment (no loud parties, loud music, etc.). Course we all know that people move in and out, but I think your move to a house far exceeds renting an apartment.

Trust me prior to renting this apartment and when I looked at others I did what you said and still have issues. This is supposed to be an upscale apartment community and area but I have had more problems then cheaper places.
Reading on here I see others too have had issues and it just seems so common in apartments. So I have started my search for home rentals.

I doubt it's the same people and it seems to me that your building has poor insulation if you can hear them that clearly. The thing is this...you can't control or dictate when someone comes and goes from their unit (quite frankly, it's none of your business) and you already said you manager won't do anything about it and that's probably because there's nothing to be done. It's annoying and I totally understand that, but you're going to have noise wherever you live in close proximity to other people.

You already said you're moving to a single family home and that will cure some of your problems, but not all of them. What are you going to do when you next door neighbor starts his Harley at 0600 everyday? What about if he chooses to come home at 0200 on that same Harley?

The point is this...unless you're living in the middle of nowhere, in a dome, you're going to have to deal with noise.

Good luck with finding your peaceful home.

this is why i only rent houses. the extra money is worth the peace and quiet. I'd rather live on ramen and PB&J (its not that drastic but if it was..) then live in an apartment with the noise.

We are also military and most military bases give you houses so close you can practically pee into their bathroom from your house. No thank you! Give me off base, in a decent community and QUIET. I'm totally that "get off my lawn" person at age 30

LOL Nothing wrong with PB&J!! Its my go-to lunch. But I totally understand what you're saying. So many times people move to single family communities and think that their noise issues will be nil....sadly, it's not always the case. In an apt complex it's much easier to deal with noise because all the units come under one landlord/manager. In a neighborhood you could be dealing with the homeowner, several landlords and God knows what.

I love my quiet as well, but also realize that noise is going to happen and unless it's illegal or in violation of the lease, I have to deal with it.

That is very true. Back home in Nebraska, a bunch of college kids moved next door to us and they were all in a band, that always played at night. After a few cop calls, they stopped it at night and just did it on weekends.

But, for me, the stomping annoys me the most. My last apartment i swear the person above me put on rollerskates and skated at 1am. That was the last draw.
