Hello,
July 10,2014 I went to Judge Clousser court in Fort Bend county. And the judgement was in my landlord favor. That Monday prior to court the landlord nephew that manages his properties told me to come into his office and work out payment arrangements. He told me I had til noon the next day to come in his office. I went and he was not there. I text him asked why did he tell me to come in and not show up. He said his wife was in the hospital. And to call and set up a payment arrangement. I could call so I emailed him a payment arrangement and deposited $500 in his account I owed him $1,300. No answer to text or phone calls. Prior to court in June I contacted my landlord told him I had been ill and needed to make payment arrangements. But the nephew told me no he needed my rent in full. After going to court I was given a short time to get out. I had left behind some items. Contacted my landlord and asked permission to enter his property to clean. No answer or reponse. Then I received a email. Telling me I had damages to the property. I knew about a hole by the front door. I had material in the house to fix it. And the stop top vent. But he is now saying he is charging me for $4,000 in damages. Hand print on the wall, stain on the carpet he said several holes in the walls which is a lie there is just one. I've been out since the 17th of July. Before court I gave him $500 since I've been gone housing still gave him money for my behalf $350 I have a deposit of $1,150. He has sent me a email saying he will do everything in his power to make sure I pay. I lived in his house 4 years never thought he would be this mean and treat to my credit. Especially after I offered to clean and make repairs. What should I do?
The time for explanations is over. You've been to court. A judge has heard both of your stories and issued a verdict. Unless you pony up and appeal, the case is closed. Either pay the judgment or deal with the collections process and have the judgment hanging over you for a long long time.

I'm having a hard time figuring out the timeline. Are you saying you were ruled against and owed $1300 (of which you paid $500) but *after* the ruling, the landlord came back with $4000 in damages? If so, that seems like 2 different issues.
Keep a paper trail. Always do everything by e-mail or letter (or record your phone calls). This way you can prove that you've tried. If you mail something, make sure you require that he has a signature.
So your landlord went to court and had to prove his case, won. Now hes saying 4k in damages? Im confused
