ORIGINAL Post Topic: "The manager from our Apartment Complex has accused my son of riding his Skateboard on the premises and confiscated his skateboard. I am fine with that rules are rules but the problem here is that he was not riding it he was holding his skateboard and the Manager came up to him snatching it from his hand after he repeatedly told her he was not riding it.
I have asked the manager to show me the footage of him riding the skateboard and she denied to show me. I refused to sign the regulation paperwork because of this and she won't return the skateboard. What can I do?"
MY RESPONSE
-Thank you everyone for your help. I did end up going to the police and talking to them about the situation and we end up looking at the a video in which my son was not at fault. Of course, I am not going to say kids don't lie they do, but also adult do too! and this time I knew my son wasn't lying. That is reason I decide to go to the police and it comes to be I am not the only parent who has complain about management.
"So do not be afraid of them, for there is nothing concealed that will not be disclosed, or hidden that will not be made known"
Even if my kid was lying I would've gone to the police. That lady had no right taking his skateboard out of his hands. What she should've done is called you into the office and sat down and had a chat about the situation like a adult instead of bullying a kid.
Even if he was in the wrong, he didn't need to be bullied and/or 'parented' by a manager. That's YOUR job.
Glad you go to the bottom on this situation and thanks for the update!
Glad you got everything resolved and good for you for following through properly. Hopefully management will be more careful in the future in handling business.
