U all must be these same typa landlords and just mad at people like me cuz u get taken to court and lose for your bad business practices
Why ask a question if you are just going to get p***ed off when the (correct) answer isn't the one you want to hear? Several people have explained why it's legal for them to change the method of waste collection unless your lease specifically uses the word "dumpster", which is what you asked. People who were nice enough to take the time out of their day to answer your question just get insulted in return. How very rude.

Be mad at your landlord or whoever is causing your "problem", not at people who are trying to answer your questions.

Wrong, the judge would not side with you. For the record, I'm not a landlord.

There is no hope of helping the OP, but for beginning landlords, whenever you have an applicant who immediately starts trying to dictate how he wants to do things and how he doesn't want to follow the standard procedure, reject that applicant immediately.

You should have it in your written criteria that you can reject applicants like that. Tenants like that don't understand how the world works and they are going to be very difficult tenants to deal with. Send them on down the road and let some other landlord deal with them.

I'm going through this now. No dumpsters mean no where to dispose of pet waste outside. I refuse to bring dog crap in my apartment to put in my kitchen trash bag. I like having trash valet but sometimes people have boxes to dispose if that the valet will not pick up. Currently the pet waste is covering all grassy areas in the complex and I can't wait to see what happens with all the Christmas boxes that tenants need to throw away.
