Lately, it takes 2 or 3 days. I won't show an apartment until it is made ready for move-in. Yesterday I put up a sign on a vacancy and had 3 calls in 2 hours. I have 3 appointments today to show it. What a way to start a Monday. But it can go a month or two. Lately, it's only a few days.
I have a house, not an apartment, with a property manager. We had it priced $100 over comps and above the realtor's recommendation... it rented in 8 days.
It normally takes 3 to 4 months in my area. I guess it could be shorter, however that's only because I screen my tenants thoroughly.
