Trying to buy an 06 Montego with 55,000 miles. Front wheel drive, traction control and on/off switch. Leather and most all options, vinyl roof, gold package. Had to drive 140 miles to find one.
Price is 11995.00/firm at dealer and will deliver/pick up trade (2007 Dodge Quad cab 4x4, 115,000 miles.
Anyone have one of these or know about them?
We owned an 05 all wheel drive Limited, bought new in 05 but had to sell due to financial problems.

Not sure what you are asking since you owned an '05 Montego before ...
the question you should be asking is whether you are digging a deep financial hole with this transaction.
We owe 15,300.00 on truck, they are giving us 14,600 trade plus my 700.00 to pay off truck.
Car makes 30mpg/hwy, truck 18mpg/hwy. If gas stayed at 3.00/gallon we would keep truck.
Ok, so let me see. Your going to spend $11,995, plus $700 out of pocket to move from a Ram to a Montego to save some gas?
At $4 a gallon, that $12,695 will buy 3174 gallons of gas. At 18 MPG. you could drive the Ram 57,000 miles before you have paid the purchase price of that Montego.
I don't see the savings, considering you would still need to pay for gas in the Montego.

There is more than fuel economy for purchase. I am disabled and it is difficult for me to get in and out of Ram, because of height and door opening. I am 6'4" and Bigg and long back.
I still owe 15,300.00 on Ram and am upside down by 2000.00. I also have an Eddie Bauer Expedition that is easier for me to get into and seats have more adjustments for my comfort.
My wife is 4'11" and can barely see over hood on Ram. She will be driving Montego and I will drive Expedition. I only paid 5900.00 for Expedition but had to buy more expensive , and find dealer to give more for Ram. Montego was advertised at bottom dollar for 11995.00.
I will be getting surgery soon and will have to travel 250/miles/week for 6 months for checkups so Montego, after surgery, will save us money up front. I am on a fixed income, so if I had my former income there would be a 2013 Ford King Ranch or 2013 Dodge Larmie sitting in driveway, since gas mileage never meant anything to me before my disability.
I was just curious if anyone had any experience's or heard of bad things about Montego.

I live in a Paid For 12x60 2bed/1 bath trailer with land and make zero payments. Think how much money anyone else could spend on anything else if they did not have that mortgage on there traditional eye appealing house.
The 100,000 to x/amount would pay for a lot of college, gas, food, etc. without those high mortgage payments.
Life is not all about saving every thing you make and making the right choices. I have been trying most of my life and still mess up. You have to make a decent living to do most of this anyway.
I only made good money my last 7 yrs of working, (60,000.00) for 6yrs and 100K for 1 yr then disablity took over.
Sorry to get off subject. Thanks again for input.
