Thanks! My husband's birthday is 5 days before mine (although he's just turning 55) - and we are planning our big birthdays party. It's our last big bash here, next year we'll be in the middle of moving to our retirement home. I love him working for uncle sugar - 1 more year to retirement!

Hip hip hooray and "stars and stripes" to you and your husband for only having a year to go until your retirement....Happy happy birthday to both of you. Great that you're having a BIG BASH. Have non-stop fun....My husband's birthday is in 4 days. Plan to do some "bashing" here too.

Same here. Don't mind "senior" or "old" at all. It gets to be a badge of honor once you're past 70.

Whenever I'm called 'senior citizen' I politely let them know that I prefer to be addressed as "Oh Wise One."

Always good for a laugh!

Thanks for the invite...I'd love to come to your "bash'" From our "user names" it sounds like we live pretty far away from each other. Phooey! I want to "kick up my heels" and forget that I am a "senior" this weekend. How about you?

Kicking up my heels is something I still do ... often! I am always needing someone to remind me I'm a senior! Sometimes I do things and my body revolts a few days later.

Good that you still "kick up your heels." Me too...Well I hardly ever wear "heels" anymore....I live in "flip-flops" to tell the truth...It's hot here in the desert. I would "take spills" if I forced myself to wear "heels" at this late date....How about you? Do you have to get dressed up for your job each day?

I'm kicking up my heels with Y'all! And, in my (very attractive) Easy Spirit canvas sneakers! And, they are my "work" shoes! Casual is my work attire.....since my work is somewhat physical.
