Do you mind being called a "senior" or senior citizen?...I have never liked these terms. How do you feel about it? Thanks...

I'm "only" 54, but the casinos in Las Vegas consider anyone 50+ to be a senior and offer specials to attract them to the casino (241 buffets, discounted movie tickets, free shows, drawings for cash and merchandise, etc.).

So, yeah, I don't mind being called senior at all.

If it comes with a 10% discount, I'm fine with it. Might even let my hair go gray ...

I've never worried about what labels & categories I'm put into. I yam what I yam and I'm fine that. There's far more important things to worry about than things that I can't change.

I'm 58 and I don't feel old enough to be a senior, but I guess I am. When I'm 60 I get a free bus pass and ferry pass and lots of discounts!

The term is preferable to the term used in the UK - OAP - Old Age Pensioner.

Depends on how the discount is worded. I am whatever you need me to be for the discount. How do I feel about it? Silly question I just saved money!

I'm seventy-two. I don't mind "senior" at all, nor do I mind "old."

I'm more concerned when someone calls me "dead."

Thanks for your posts and comments...I like discounts but I still don't like to be called a "senior" or "senior citizen." For some reason these terms really make me cringe...Maybe I just don't like to be set apart and put in a "box" or "category."...I like to interact with people of all ages....Being labeled a "senior" can really put up "walls" when it comes to how younger people may view me...I don't go around calling younger people "kids" and I don't like to be put into a "pen" and labeled a "senior" either...How do you feel about it? Thanks.....
